NAMHO Codes of Practice

Mine Exploration can be a dangerous activity particularly if not carried out under the guidance of suitably experience individuals. The need to act responsibly and with due care also applies to issues regarding conservation and access generally. The SGMRG is a member of the National Association of Mining History Organisations (NAMHO) and has adopted it's codes of practice and guidelines. Group activities are carried out in accordance with these and individuals are encouraged to also follow the principles involved. The NAMHO Codes of Practice can be found on the NAMHO website and are:
